Convicted Atlantic City drug dealer arrested on gun charges

  • News

A convicted Atlantic City drug dealer recently released from prison now faces gun charges.
Tevin Spivey, 30, was arrested Friday, after a one-month investigation into drug distribution and weapon possession, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Spivey's home in the 500 block of South Carolina Avenue was searched, and police found a loaded handgun and packaging material for drug distribution, according to the report.
Spivey was running a drug-production facility out of that same home when he was arrested in 2018.
He was released from South Woods State Prison on Nov. 29, after serving more than two years under a plea deal in that case.
Now he is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, certain person not to possess a weapon, possession of high-capacity magazine and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
The investigation was led by Detective Alberto Valles.
