Atlantic City man wanted in drug-induced death

  • News

An Atlantic City man is wanted in the drug-induced death of a man last year.
Ramon Rivera, 50, was already indicted in the death of Felipe Popocati Garcia-Lopez in September.
Efforts to locate Rivera have been unsuccessful, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
Police were called to Haps Laundromat in Atlantic City on Sept. 23 for two unresponsive men.
The found Lopez, 42, and Isidro Arenas, 39, both suffering from apparent drug overdoses, according to the charges.
It was now clear if the responding officers administered Narcan.
Both men were taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where Garcia-Lopez was pronounced dead.
Arenas survived.
An investigation found Rivera sold the two men a fatal combination of heroin, cocaine and fentanyl, Tyner said.
The investigation is a cooperative effort between the Prosecutor's Office and Atlantic City police.
Anyone with information about Rivera whereabouts is asked to call the Prosecutor's Office at 609-909-7800 or Atlantic City police at 609-347-5766. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411) beginning the text with ACPD.
