Greetings from Canton

  • News

BreakingAC has met with a little bit of home in a trip to Canton, Ohio, to see the Class of 2021 inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
There was the visitor from Mount Laurel, Burlington County, and the helpful front desk worker dressed in full Philadelphia Eagles garb.
And, when the shuttle back to the hotel left us to fend for ourselves, there was the North Carolina native who was working the bus lines that told us of his only trip to a big city: Atlantic City.
"You walked out and there were all casinos and lights," Daniel said. "I'm used to hotels being quiet places with no noise. But they had a karaoke bar, which was great. I just wasn't used to that."
Meanwhile, we got a look at the full Hall of Fame and watched as the golden jackets were presented to 18 former players, coaches and a commissioner -- merging the current class with the Class of 2020, whose festivities were postponed courtesy of the COVID shutdown.
The 19th inductee -- Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamalu -- didn't get his jacket Friday, since he's still quarantining after testing positive for the virus.
Regardless whether a favorite is among the new inductees, the Hall of Fame is an amazing place for any NFL fan.
Whether it's the busts commemorating the best of the best's places in pro football history, the hologram of Joe Namath that leads you through a "talk" with some of the greats or the special interactive experiences that include creating your own Super Bowl championship ring.
Take a look at some of the offerings as we rest up for Saturday's parade.
