Two Pennsylvania residents died in a crash in Egg Harbor Township on Thursday afternoon.
It was the second fatal crash in less than two hours.
Timothy Millett was driving west on Delilah Road when his vehicle crossed the center line at about 1:30 p.m., and collided head on with an eastbound vehicle driven by John Ward.
Anthony Dorto, who was also heading east, collided with the rear of Ward's vehicle after the initial crash, police said.
Millette, 51, and his passenger, 35-year-old Sara Hutchison, both of Clarks Summit, Pa., were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Trauma Center, where they were pronounced dead.
Ward, 52, of Lansdale, Pa., was transported to AtlantiCare's City Campus with serious injuries. Dorto, 50, of West Berlin, was taken to the Mainland Campus in Galloway Township with moderate injuries.
Delilah Road was shut down and detoured for about 3.5 hours so the crash could be investigated and cleared.
Assisting at the scene were police from Galloway Township and Pleasantville along with AtlantiCare paramedics, Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad, Northfield Rescue Squad and the Farmington Fire Company.
Sgt. Lawrence Graham, and Officers Robert Moran, Louis Poletis, Patrick Daly and Thomas Rizzotte are investigating the crash.
