A Millville man convicted of killing his father was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Gary Tedesco, 66, was stabbed nine times during the altercation inside his Carlton Avenue home.
When police arrived, they found the elder Tedesco dead. His wife, Stella, had been knocked to the ground during the crime.
Michael Tedesco, who fled the scene in his father's vehicle, was arrested later that evening at a home on West Broad Street in Millville.
The jury also convicted him of theft, tampering with evidence and related weapons offenses after a 2½ week trial.
Superior Court Judge Cristen D'Arrigo found he was extended-term eligible, and sentenced him to the maximum term.
Tedesco also was given a consecutive five-year term for violating probation from a 2016 sentence. He must serve 17 years before he is eligible for parole under the No Early Release Act.
He also must serve three years' parole upon his release.
