A Ventnor man was arrested with a gun in Atlantic City with a ghost gun after a detective received a tip, police said.
Alexander Boynes, 23, was stopped just before 5 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Caspian Avenue, and found with a loaded gun in his waistband, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Detective Alberto Valles received information that Boynes had the gun, which was assembled after being bought online. It’s called a ghost gun because it’s not traceable.
The gun had an extended magazine, according to the report.
Boynes is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a ghost gun, possession of prohibited ammunition and possession of a high-capacity magazine.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
NOTE: The Atlantic County Justice Facility does not release mugshots under a still-in-effect order from the former prosecutor.
