Detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a New York City man Friday night.
Police were called to the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue at about 9:30 p.m., Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
The victim's identity was released Monday as Dameer Smith, 25.
Smith was found on the street with gunshot wounds, and taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he was pronounced dead.
The father of two sons also leaves behind seven brothers and a sister, according to his obituary.
