A four-alarm fire in Pleasantville overnight collapsed a building and displaced several residents.
“Because of the magnitude of the fire we weren’t able to go inside the building,” Pleasantville Fire Chief Gene Wellington told CBS News Philly. “The building actually just collapsed into itself instead of out into the firefighters.”
Residents were able to escape from a nearby apartment.
Firefighters rescued at least two people, with two firefighters sustaining minor injuries.
