Atlantic City High School's basketball season has ended due to COVID-19.
Athletic Director Chris Ford Jr. sent a memo to the district this week citing a 14-day quarantine.
"In order to do our best to ensure the health, safety and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, we have decided to cancel the remaining boys' and girls' basketball games scheduled for this season," Ford wrote.
The decision came after discussions with the coaches, athletic trainer, sports physician and superintendent, Ford wrote.
"With only a few days remaining in the season, there is too great of a risk of injury to make a return to the court worthwhile," he added.
