A Bridgeton man recently released from prison was arrested for allegedly forcing a woman into prostitution in Atlantic City.
Officers were called Wednesday morning to the Rodeway Inn on the beach block of North Carolina Avenue for the report of people in a motel room with drugs and a handgun, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
After clearing a man and two women from the room, police found a loaded handgun along with cocaine and marijuana, according to the report.
An investigation led by Detective Jaimee Moore, they found that a 30-year-old woman was being forced into prostitution by Bryant Siderio.
Siderio, who was released from the Southern State Correctional Facility in June, threatened the woman with physical violence and refused to let her leave, according to the charges.
Siderio, 38, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a large-capacity magazine, certain person not to possess a weapon, criminal restraint, promoting prostitution, terroristic threats and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
The other woman in the room, 24-year-old Jada Bell of Atlantic City, was charged with drug and weapons offenses.
Both are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
