A man and woman were arrested Saturday after an Atlantic City officer saw them burglarizing a store, police said.
Officer Thomas Gilardi was patrolling Tanger Outlets- The Walk when he saw Amanda Reynolds pacing back and forth near the Abercrombie & Fitch store at 7:43 a.m., Lt. Kevin Fair said.
At the time, all the stores were closed.
The officer then saw Duane Napper leave the store carrying a large bag and then walking away with Reynolds, according to the report.
The officer then noticed the store's glass door had been smashed.
Napper, 46, of Atlantic City, and Reynolds, 28, of Little Egg Harbor, were arrested without incident.
The bag contained nearly $2,700 in stolen merchandise, Fair said.
Both were charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy.
Reynolds was jailed on a contempt warrant. Napper was released on a summons.
