An Atlantic City man was arrested on drug charges following a car stop Thursday.
Atlantic City Police Officers stopped the driver at about 11:30 a.m. on the Atlantic City Connector, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Lawrence Owens Jr., 32, could not provide documentation for the vehicle nor did he know who it belonged to, according to the report.
Owens was arrested after he was found with more than 20 grams of marijuana, Fair said.
Further investigation led to police locating 40 grams of cocaine, along with items consistent with the manufacturing and distribution of drugs.
Items including a blender, box cutter, plastic packaging, and pots and pans had white residue on them, according to the report. There was also a common cocaine cutting agent.
Owens was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, along possession with intent to distribute CDS, operating or maintaining a CDS production facility, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and multiple traffic summons.
He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he remained in custody Saturday.
