Absecon man arrested with gun, drugs in A.C. car stop

An Absecon man was found with a gun, ammunition and drugs after a vehicle stop in Atlantic City.
Elliot Handy was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Handy, 24, was found with a backpack that had a loaded handgun, large-capacity magazine and load drum magazine, according to the report.
It also allegedly had 83 grams of marijuana.
Officer Joseph Kelly arrested Handy.
The driver, Alisia Harrigan, was released with several motor vehicle summonses.
Handy was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public zone, possession with intent to distribute within a school zone, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of weapon while committing a drug offense, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a large-capacity magazine, and possession of a defaced firearm.
He is currently in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
