A Trenton man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing his vehicle Monday in Ventnor.
Richard Peroni III, 26, struck a utility pole in the area of Frankfort and Ventnor avenues at about 7:36 a.m., Capt. Joe Fussner said.
Atlantic City Electric had to be called to the scene along with the city Fire Department and Providence Towing.
Police also found suspected heroin and suspected cocaine, Fussner said.
In addition to the DWI, Peroni was also issued summonses for reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
Patrolman Jose Liriano is investigating.
