A Pennsylvania man is jailed after allegedly brandishing a gun and shooting at another driver during a road rage incident in Vineland.
Cary Speaks, 29, of Birdsboro, Pa., is charged with criminal attempt homicide and weapons offenses, State Police said.
Troopers were called to State Highway 55 on June 20, when the victim told police the driver of a white SUV fired at his truck as he was approaching Exit 35.
The Ford F-150 was hit, according to the report.
An investigation led to a white Acura MDX with a Pennsylvania license plate.
The vehicle was registered to Speaks, who matched the description the victim gave police of the driver, according to the report.
A warrant led to a search of the vehicle on July 15, when officers found an emptied magazine.
Testing of the vehicle also led to evidence of gunfire inside the passenger's compartment, State Police said.
Detectives then searched Speaks' home and found a .380 caliber handgun, which matched the description of the weapon used, the report stated.
Speaks was arrested and lodged in the Berks County Jail until he was transported to Cumberland County on Monday.
