Atlantic City man wanted in guns, drugs and money-laundering case

  • News

An Atlantic City man is wanted in a drug and guns case that allegedly involved laundering more than $100,000 through the city's casinos.
Jordan Ragland, 29, was receiving shipments of methamphetamines through the mail to his home on Connecticut Avenue.
State Police with the Casino Gaming Bureau began investigating Ragland in September, for using Atlantic City casinos to launder money.
Detectives linked about $107,000 to Ragland through the casinos, including wire transfers and bank transactions.
Through the investigation detectives also discovered Ragland was having drugs shipped to his home, State Police said. They intercepted a shipment to his home March 2, with help from the U.S. Postal inspectors.
A search of the home led to more than $43,000 worth of drugs, guns and high-capacity magazines.
James Wright, 35, was arrested at the home, but Ragland has not been caught.
Ragland was arrested in January, after he fled a car stop that was part of an Atlantic City Police Department drug investigation into him and another Atlantic City man.
A stolen handgun, drugs and a bulletproof vest were found in a room where the other man was arrested. But Ragland was charged only with eluding, resisting and obstruction and released on a summons.

Anyone with information about Ragland's whereabouts is asked to call State Police at 609-441-7464. Anonymous tips are welcome.
