An Atlantic City man was arrested during a car stop Sunday night after police allegedly found him with 90 bags of heroin and a gun stolen from Georgia.
Freddie Williams, 42, was a passenger in a car that was stopped at 10:54 p.m. at Tennessee and Sewell avenues, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Officers Scott Sendrick and Christopher Dodson found a loaded handgun and the drugs, according to the report.
Williams, who is originally from Macon, Georgia, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, receiving stolen property, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a high-capacity magazine, possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute, possession within 500 feet of a public zone and possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense.
He was additionally charged as a certain person not to possess a gun due to prior convictions.
Williams was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The driver, Alexis Wyatt, was issued several motor vehicle summonses and released.
