Three Camden residents were arrested trying to leave Atlantic City after an armed robbery early Sunday morning, police said.
Officers were called to the beach block of New York Avenue at 5:35 a.m. for a man robbed at gunpoint.
The suspects pulled up to the victim in their car, with one man pointing a handgun at him while another demanded his wallet and cell phone, the victim told police.
A woman was also in the vehicle.
About 10 minutes later, Officers Waham Malik and Ivaylo Ivanov saw the vehicle going onto the Atlantic City Expressway, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The car was stopped, and the woman was found with a handgun in her purse.
Robert Rand-Shambry, 19, along with Mariah Foster and Naquan Beverly, both 23, were charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and conspiracy.
They are being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
