Driver crashes with police vehicle in Galloway

Charges are pending after a driver allegedly disregarded a stop sign and collided with a Galloway Township police vehicle Tuesday morning.
Connor Morgan, 20, of Port Republic, was headed west on Upland Avenue at about 10:16 a.m. when he went through the stop sign and Second Avenue and struck a police vehicle heading north, Detective Sgt. First Class Ryan Goehringer said.
Both Morgan and Officer Eric Munyon suffered moderate injuries, and were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, according to the report.
The road was shut down for several hours while the crash was investigated, and vehicles and debris removed.
Charges are pending.
No drugs or alcohol were involved.
The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad, and DP and Regional Tow Service assisted at the scene.
