Missing Galloway woman found

  • News

A Galloway Township woman reported missing has been found safe, police said.
Heather Kaczynski, 44, was last seen at about 5 p.m. Thursday.
But when her family returned home at 11 p.m., she was gone. All of her belongings had been left behind, including her purse and cell phone, police said.
She had been possibly suffering from a concussion and may have needed medication, police said in a release.
At about 1 p.m. Saturday, she was seen walking out of the woods on Vienna Avenue north of Moss Mill Road in the township's Germania section, police said.
Police officers arrived a short time later and rendered medical assistance, Lt. Christopher McGinty said.
Kaczynski was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center by the Galloway Township Ambulance Squad for further evaluation.
One of Kaczynski's last public posts on Facebook was Wednesday morning, when she posted a picture of herself with facial bruises warning of concussion issues.
She fell getting into her husband's truck and hit her head, then fell on her face 20 minutes later, Kaczynski said in a comment.
She said she was then on Day 5 of a severe concussion.
"After 5 days I am still dizzy, nauseous, headache, sore neck, lethargic and unsteady," she wrote. "CT scan was negative and no fractures but feel horrible still. Getting an MRI tomorrow."
