Vineland police are warning people of a man they say is selling fake raffle tickets.
“It has come to our attention that the person pictured in this post has been going around our South Vineland community posing as a member or representative of the South Vineland Fire Company and selling raffle tickets,” according to a statement from the fire company. “Please note that we do not know this individual or have any affiliation with him.”
Any fundraising is done through official mailing or company-sponsored events at the station, according to the company.
Police say they have heard the man whose picture was released has made claims he was selling tickets for several organizations.
Anyone who has seen him or bought tickets is asked to call Vineland police at 856-696-1212 to make a report.
