A teen was arrested with a handgun after police were called to the making of a music video.
A resident called police at 5:21 p.m., saying two males appeared to have a handgun near New York Avenue School, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
As officers arrived, the males started to run, according to the report.
Detectives Christopher Dodson and Eric Evans found a 17-year-old boy leaving the area.
As the detectives exited their vehicle, they approached the male and gave him verbal commands, Fair said.
The teen admitted he had a handgun in his waistband, according to the report.
He was arrested without incident.
He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition and possession of a large-capacity magazine.
The teen, whose name was not released due to his age, was taken to the Harborfields Detention Facility.
