Two people were arrested after Little Egg Harbor police investigated an alleged drug deal.
Officers with the Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit were conducting surveillance on Oct. 27, after complaints about drug distribution from a residence on National Union Boulevard, police said.
They saw two individuals in a drug deal, with one leaving in a vehicle, according to the report.
John Haugh, 31, of Little Egg, was stopped, and police found a undisclosed amount of crystalized methamphetamine, police said.
He was issued a summons and released pending a court date.
Additional investigation led to a warrant for Kelley Patricia Bastian, 36, of Mount Holly.
Bastian was seen in the passenger seat of a vehicle at about 5:50 p.m. Thursday in town’s Mystic Island section, police said.
The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Lake Crystalbrook and Cayuga Lake drives.
Bastian was arrested on the warrant and an undisclosed amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia was seized, police said.
Bastian was taken to the Ocean County Jail.
The driver — Julie J. Haas, 40, of Roebling — was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses.
