Absecon police are investigating a shooting incident early Friday morning.
Police were called to the area of South Shore Road and East Illinois Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired, police said.
Officers found evidence confirming a firearm had been discharged in the area.
No injuries were reported.
The incident is under investigation by the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
