An Atlantic City woman was struck and killed crossing the Black Horse Pike last week.
Janelle Oliver, 54, was crossing in the area of Noah’s Road just before 8 p.m., when she was struck in the right lane of travel by a car driven by Amer Kashmiri, 53, of Egg Harbor Township, Lt. Stacey Schlachter said.
The crash happened in the area of Noah’s Road, according to the report.
Oliver, who used a walker, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus, where she later died of her injuries.
Kashmiri was not injured.
Oliver’s daughter is asking anyone who may have witness the crash to come forward.
“She was loving and very caring,” Kay’La Oliver said. “Her grandchildren are still looking for her to come home.”
The younger woman said she is shocked and confused by the crash in an area her mother navigated regularly.
“Please anyone with answers speak up and speak out,” she said.
The Pleasantville Fire Department, Tricare and AtlantiCare Medics assisted at the scene.
