A dump truck crashed into an Egg Harbor City home around 7:40 Monday morning.
The 80-year-old resident and the truck’s driver both suffered minor injuries, according to police.
Rogelio Serrano was driving the truck for J. Domenico & Son Excavating out of Hammonton when he struck another vehicle that was heading west on the White Horse Pike near Bremen Avenue, police said.
The impact forced 31-year-old Christopher Purks’ vehicle off the road, according to the report. He was not injured.
Serrano, 69, of Vineland, continued west across the eastbound lanes of traffic, police said. The truck then jumped the curb, continued through a field, and collided with trees before striking the home at 1500 White Horse Pike.
The homeowner, Richard Beck, was sitting on the first floor when the crash happened, according to the report.
He and Beck were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Beck was cleared for release Monday.
Further investigation is pending.
