A Galloway Township man is in jail after he allegedly brandished a gun outside an Absecon bar last week.
Michael C. Ciarla, 28, approached the victim in the parking lot of the Hi-Point Pub just before 5 a.m. last Wednesday, police said Monday.
He then brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victim, unprovoked, according to the report.
The victim was able to flee unharmed, police said.
Officers found Ciarla hiding under a trailer at a nearby business, police said.
After a brief stand-off, he was taken into custody and a handgun was recovered.
He is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Ciarla remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
NOTE: The Atlantic County Justice Facility is barred from releasing mugshots under an order by the former prosecutor.
