  • News

A Galloway Township father of four died Saturday, after crashing his motorcycle in Egg Harbor Township.
Joseph Seif III, 46, was traveling east on the Black Horse Pike near Elmwood Avenue at about 2:30 p.m., when he drifted off the road for an unknown reason, police said.
He struck a curb, losing control of his motorcycle and overturned several times before coming to rest on the grass median, according to the preliminary investigation.
The crash happened in the area of Matt Blatt and Auto Lenders.
Witnesses saw emergency workers giving Seif CPR at the scene.
He was then taken to the Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Traffic was detoured for about 3.5 hours.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by Seif's son, who described his father as selfless and caring.
"He would always have a helping hand to anyone and everyone," Jacob Seif wrote.
The crash is being investigated by Sgt. Larry Graham and Officer Ed Stearns.
Anyone with information is asked to call Egg Harbor Township police at 609-926-2661.
