An Atlantic City man is wanted in the shooting of a woman early Friday morning.
James Burton, 42, is charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the shooting, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Police were called to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus at 3:23 a.m. for a woman who walked in to the emergency room with a gunshot wound, according to the report.
The Atlantic City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for shooting a woman.
The 34-year-old resident's injury was not considered life-threatening.
The incident occurred on the first block of south Florida Avenue, Fair said.
Burton, who also is known as Ronnie Jones, was identified as the shooter through an investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit.
