Two wounded in separate Atlantic City shootings

Atlantic City police are investigating two shootings that wounded two men less than 17 hours apart.

Neither shooting was considered life-threatening, Lt. Kevin Fair said.

Police were called to the 200 block of Pacific Avenue at 9:46 p.m. Sunday, for the report of a man shot, according to the report.

A 46-year-old man was found wounded.

A ShotSpotter alert brought police to the 800 block of Virginia Avenue at 2:21 p.m. Monday.
Multiple shots were heard, a witness told BreakingAC: "It sounded like a shootout."

The 27-year-old victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, where he underwent surgery, according to a relative.

Atlantic City police did not release the names of the victims.
