Police activity closed several blocks of the Atlantic City Boardwalk on Friday night.
An anonymous threat brought police, along with the Bomb Squad, to the Boardwalk around 9:15 p.m.
A remote-controlled robot was used to conduct a sweep of the area, which tested negative for a bomb or explosives, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
The area was blocked from at least Pennsylvania Avenue to St. James Place. It was reopened at about 1:30 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
