Retired NFL running Frank Gore has been charged in a domestic assault in Atlantic City from last month.
Police were called to the Tropicana Atlantic City at 9:11 a.m. July 31, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
Officers arrived to find the 28-year-old victim from Miami speaking with hotel security, according to the report.
The woman, whose name was not released, did not show signs of injury, according to the report.
Complaints were not filed at the time, but an investigation led to Gore being charged with simple assault and issued a summons with a future court date, Aristizabal said.
The release announcing his arrest listed him as Franklin Gore, 39, from Southwest Ranches, Fla.
Gore retired earlier this year as the No. 3 all-time rusher.
He started his career with the San Francisco 49ers, leaving in 2014. Since then, he played for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and New York Jets. He signed a one-day contract with San Francisco in June to retire as a Niner.
