Pleasantville police are investigating a shooting that wounded a resident Sunday night.
Police were called to Lake Place and Linden Avenue at about 7:25 p.m. by a ShotSpotter alert, Capt. Stacey Schlachter said.
Messiah Burton, 19, was found shot in the calf, Schlachter said.
He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus by Tricare. Burton was treated and released, according to the report.
Witnesses heard several rounds and saw a victim being taken in an ambulance, BreakingAC was told.
The suspect or suspects fled after crashing a stolen motor vehicle into a parked car on Linden Avenue, Schlachter said.
There were multiple casings recovered at the scene.
