Two Pleasantville men were arrested with a gun after police were called to a city pizza parlor for a man being chased by a car Sunday.
When officers arrived at Pizza Di Roma on North Main Street, the victim and suspect vehicle were gone, Capt. Stacey Schlachter said.
But a witness was able to give a description and registration of the suspect Honda, according to the report.
Driver Jeins Colon Marrero, 19, was stopped by K-9 Officer Korey Crosby at North Main Street and Cedarcrest Avenue, Schlachter said.
Crosby’s partner, Deuce, had a positive reaction after sniffing around the vehicle, according to the report.
A backpack was found on the floor of the front seat passenger with a handgun, 36 grams of marijuana, two digital scales and packaging material, Schlachter said.
Passenger Jordani Martinez Casiano, 23, and Marrero were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while committing a drug offense.
Both are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
