A suspect in an armed robbery was arrested with a gun and drugs, Atlantic City police said.
The 23-year-old victim told police at 1:47 p.m. Monday that he was robbed at gunpoint in the 300 block of N. South Carolina Avenue.
Moments after Officer John Bell put out a description of the suspect, Detective Christopher Smith saw a man matching that description in Gordon’s Alley, according to the report.
Zion Key, 20, was stopped and found in possession of a handgun, suspected crack cocaine, a digital scale and packaging materials, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
Key was arrested without incident.
He is charged with armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Key is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
