An Ocean County man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a minor on several occasions.
Norman Medina, 45, of Lakewood, was prosecuted in Atlantic County due to a conflict in Ocean County, according to officials.
He was accused of sexually assaulting the child at his home on several occasions when the girl was between the ages of 5 and 12, according to the charges.
Medina pleaded guilt to aggravated sexual assault, admitting to intentionally touching the victim.
The admitting to intentionally touching the victim raping a minor.
The victim “was extremely brave in coming forward and facing her abuser (Tuesday) at sentencing,” Chief Assistant Prosecutor Erika Halayko said.
