Brooklyn man faces five years in Atlantic City shooting

  • News

A Brooklyn man pleaded guilty this week in a shooting that injured an Atlantic City man in August.

Neil Henry, 31, faces five years in prison under the plea agreement.

The 43-year-old victim was grazed by a bullet and suffered a minor injury in the shooting on Morris Avenue just before 1 p.m. Aug. 28.

Henry was in possession of the .40 caliber handgun used in the shooting at the time of his arrest three days later.

He pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated assault, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose and resisting arrest.

Henry faces five years in prison when he is sentenced Jan. 30. He would have to serve at least 85 percent of that term under the No Early Release Act.

He also faces a concurrent term of 18 months for resisting arrest.

Henry remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
