Atlantic City promotes 13 Class IIs to full-time officers

Atlantic City got 13 new full-time officers last week.

The former Special Law Enforcement Officers II, who have worked for the city in a part-time capacity, will now be assigned to the Operations Division.

The city also got a new Class II officer, Moustafa Maarouf.

Class II officers are required to live in the city.

“I am proud to have sworn in 13 new full-time officers and one Special Law Enforcement Officer today.” Chief James Sarkos said. “I am confident they will have impactful, meaningful and rewarding careers here in our great city.”

Mayor Marty Small administered the oath of office in Council Chambers.

The new officers are: Jerea Langford, Consuelo Maldonado, Mohammed Miazi, Michael Zuniga, Matthew Crosby, Syid Evans-White, Gisselle Garcia, Dion Liu, Edwin Maldonado, Julian Monsalve, Riley Flynn, William Palmer and Rashawn Cochran.
