Six arrested in Atlantic City drug surveillance operation

An investigation into drug activity in Atlantic City led to six arrests overnight Wednesday.

Detectives seized about eight grams of cocaine, 150 folds of heroin and $970 in believed drug money, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.

Detectives watched the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue and the 2600 block of Pacific from Wednesday evening into early morning Thursday, according to the report.

Six people were arrested and charged with various drug-related crimes.

One of the men, Garver Villa, was arrested on a warrant for a recent robbery. The 41-year-old Atlantic City man was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The other five arrested were:

Nasir Morgan, 19 of Absecon, was charged with two counts each of possession and possession with intent to distribute. He was also wanted on a contempt of court charge.

Nasario Hernandez, 32, of Atlantic City, was charged with two counts of possession.

Davin Wearing, 30, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession, possession with intent to distribute and possession within a school zone.

Donte Braxton, 24, of Atlantic City, was arrested on a contempt-of-court charge related to violating a drug restraining order.

Terrence Cooper, 33, of Atlantic City, was charged with violation of a drug restraining order, possession, possession with intent to distribute and possession within 500 feet of a public building.

Vila and Morgan were sent to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The other four were released on summonses.
