A Trenton man pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon Tuesday.
Carelton Priester, 34, was arrested Aug. 10, 2021, after the car he was traveling in was stopped for speeding on the Atlantic City Expressway.
Priester had an active arrest warrant and was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle found a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets under the front passenger seat.
Priester, one of three people in the vehicle, admitted to owning the gun.
He faces a three-year term when he is sentenced June 15.
