An Egg Harbor Township man died when his car crashed into a tree and caught fire, police said.
Temitayo Ali, 22, was the only person inside the vehicle.
Township police were called to the area of Hartford Drive and Zion Road at about 12:41 a.m. Friday.
Officers arrived to find the 2018 Infiniti engulfed in flames, according to the report.
Residents of nearby homes tried to rescue Ali, but were not able to get to him, police said.
Scullville firefighters and township EMS assisted at the scene.
