An Atlantic City man admitted to possession of a handgun while dealing drugs last year.
Elijah Harris, 24, pleaded guilty Monday in exchange for a five-year prison sentence.
He must serve 3½ years before he is eligible for parole.
Harris admitted that he possessed a handgun in his backpack while possessing drugs with the intent to distribute them
It was Harris' first indictable conviction, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Martin, however, was already on probation for a cocaine conviction at the time of his arrest with a loaded handgun.
He was sentenced to the same deal as Harris in June, and is currently in the Garden State Youth Facility, where his parole date is listed as Dec. 15, 2025.
Harris’ sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 11. He remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending sentencing.
