Philly man wounded in Atlantic City shooting

A Philadelphia man was wounded in a daylight shooting Thursday.

Atlantic City police were alerted to the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue by a ShotSpotter alert at 3:44 p.m., Lt. Kevin Fair said.

They arrived to find the 39-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for the injury, which was not considered life-threatening, Fair said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5766. Information may also be texted to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
