An Egg Harbor City man paroled from prison in February was arrested with a loaded gun and 82 bags of heroin, according to new charges.
Daryus Gandy, 29, was seen selling drugs with Bashon Simon Sr. in the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenue on Thursday, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Detectives Eric Evans and Christopher Dodson approached as the men were selling to John Adams, according to the report.
Gandy was found with a loaded gun, 82 bags of heroin and prescription pills, Fair said.
Officer Giovanni Berardis and Joshua Munyon found Simon after he walked away from the detectives.
He had nine grams of cocaine packaged for distribution and four bags of heroin, according to the charges.
Simon was just released from prison April 20, after serving more than four years on drug and gun charges, state Department of Corrections records show.
He was charged with several drug offenses and released on a summons.
Gandy was charged with weapon and drug offenses and taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Adams, 55, of Atlantic City, was charged with loitering to obtain a controlled dangerous substance and also is jailed.
