A bomb threat caused police to evacuate an Absecon housing complex Monday morning.
A landlord on Marlin Drive called police saying a tenant who was being evicted was believed to have explosives and threatened to detonate them, according to the report.
Absecon police along with the Atlantic City Bomb Squad, county SWAT team, Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and police from Galloway Township, Pleasantville and Egg Harbor Township were mobilized quickly to neutralize the situation, police said.
Nearby residents were removed from potential harm, according to the report.
No harmful materials were found on the premises after an extensive investigation, police said.
"This incident serves as a testament to the exceptional teamwork and expertise of our law enforcement agencies," Chief J.R. Laughlin said. "The immediate response and coordinated efforts of our local and county partners helped ensure the safety and well-being of our community."
Absecon police are conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the credibility of the initial information, police said.
The department thanked those who responded along with the residents who were affected by the temporary evacuation.
