Atlantic City man pleads guilty to Pleasantville attempted murder

  • News

An Atlantic City man pleaded guilty Wednesday to an attempted murder charge from 2021.

Marcus Seda, 27, admitted that he fired six shots into a vehicle Oct. 14, 2021, intending to kill the driver.

He was connected to the crime after investigators found he left his cell phone at the scene.

Seda had just been released from prison five months earlier, court records show.

He wasn't arrested until that December, after he fired a gun in Atlantic City with the intent to seriously injure the target, according to his plea in that crime.

Seda faces a 10-year prison sentence under the plea agreement. He would have to serve at least 85 percent of that under the No Early Release Act.

His plea in the Atlantic City case to unlawful firearm possession and aggravated assault call for concurrent sentences of five and three years, respectively.

Seda remains in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending his sentencing, set for Oct. 4.
