An Atlantic City man was arrested in a stabbing after police received information about the suspect's whereabouts.
Aaron Mincey, 32, was wanted in the Aug. 16 stabbing the wounded a 29-year-old Cape May man in the 2500 block of Pacific Avenue, according to the charges.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with serious injuries, according to the report.
An investigation by Detective Mark Flanigan led to criminal charges against Mincey, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Officer Anthony Abrams received information Tuesday that Mincey was around the 3300 block of Pacific Avenue, Fair said.
Officer James Eckert then found Mincey and arrested him.
Mincey was found with a knife, 61 bags of heroin and cocaine, Fair said.
He is charged with aggravated assault, and two counts each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Mincey is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
