The Atlantic City Housing Authority's executive director is asking for patience from Stanley Holmes Village residents during the latest issue to hit the housing complex.
There were 17 gas leaks in 11 buildings of the 20 buildings that make up the three-village complex in Atlantic City.
For the leaks to be fixed, the gas has to be turned off in the building, Executive Director Matt Doherty told BreakingAC.
One of those leaks was the gas line that feeds the boilers, meaning no hot water for anyone.
That leak has been fixed, Doherty said. Hot water was expected to be up and running by Wednesday evening.
Doherty asked the residents be patient as contractor Kisby Shore works on the issues, and to allow workers in to check the connections.
The village has had ongoing issues with heat in the winter and air conditioning this summer as well.
