An Egg Harbor Township woman was injured in a crash Wednesday morning.
Tahreem Rajput, 24, was heading north on Ocean Heights Avenue when she crossed into the southbound lane and struck a utility pole, police said.
The impact caused the 2015 Chevy Trax to turn over, Lt. Stephen Slusarski said. The pole was severely damaged.
Rajput was able to climb out of her vehicle with help from a passerby, he said.
She was taken to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point by township EMS for evaluation.
Traffic was detoured for about four hours while the crash was investigated and the pole repaired.
Officer Patrick Daly is investigating. Traffic citations are pending at this time.
