Two men were arrested after a hotel raid yielded cocaine packaged for street sale, police said.
Sheldon Ward and Jamal Johnson were the targets of an investigation into distribution that led to the hotel in the 2900 block of Pacific Avenue, according to the report.
Vice and SWAT officers descended on their room Wednesday, and arrested the pair as they left, Sgt. Paul Aristizabal said.
Inside the room, officers allegedly found distribution levels of cocaine packaged for sale and items used for packaging illegal drugs, including scales and hundreds of empty wax folds.
About $1,003 was also seized, Aristizabal said.
The investigation was led by Detective Chris Dodson with assistance from the FBI Atlantic City Safe Streets Task Force.
Ward, 24, was charged with possession, possession with intent to distribute, hindering apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed on two contempt of court warrants.
Johnson, 22, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to distribute. He was released on a summons.
